Apologies for a Hectic Beginning

Dear Friends,

My apologies for not blogging regularly. I've had a busy start this year and a tiring one, too. I barely make time nowadays to spend with my son - so you can imagine how hectic it has become. It also has something to do with the fact that I had to ask my driver to go because he disappeared for weeks at a crucial time and without any proper explanation, and turned up out of the blue, demanding to be taken back again. Normally, I have a kind bone and tend to let these things go, but this guy 's misconduct and casual attitude to what is his 'bread and butter' irked me.  There is no way I could take back this guy who has such a careless yet demanding attitude.

I am looking out for a good driver because as a lawyer, it is necessary for me to focus on what's coming up in court that day, prepare for it, make the necessary calls, read the brief, things like that, rather than huff and puff about the traffic jams, worry about diversions, these are not the things that should occupy my mind space. However, they are, because it's now part of my schedule. Also, exhausting because there's so much that needs to get done. Oh, by the way, Axess Legal Corp won two important cases right at the beginning this year and yes, we want to leverage that to deepen the trust that our clients have for us. Thanking you, friends, for the support you've been giving us.

So, as I am telling you here, I'm on the look out to get things in place so that my schedule is more structured with the core purpose of what I am doing. Meanwhile, tell me, how's the year begun at your end?

Hi SAnand! Congrats on the winning cases!

Doing fine here. Was a little slow blogging due to work pressure but now back full swing.

I am calling out for a guest post on Be My Guest. Please see if you can make it.

Looking forward to more posts from you in the coming days.

Good luck for a suitable driver soon...

Congrats first. Being busy with work is a good thing. I have started a new venture, I am designing handmade jewellery. Keeps me engaged, I love creative work.

Yes, time spent sitting in traffic jams is indeed time that could be better spent.

With such a hectic life I'm surprised you manage to get any blogging done at all.

A hectic few weeks for me as well, family problems, I have managed to post more or less as usual (I find it helps me to relax)but have found myself neglecting my blogger buddies.

Anyway, nice to hear from you, best wshes, PW.

It is alright buddy. Sometimes are like that. I can really understand your busy schedule since I am a victim of hard times now. I enjoy my work but exhibition times are hectic for us.

In fact I was thinking of contacting you...do you know any good property or land lawyers to advice regrading 2 shopping complexes our friends are planning. A couple of names from Trivandrum will be a big help... When you are free let me know...

@Chitra -That is really very creative work. All the best.

@Mridula - Thanks!

@Petty - Thank you, I've to admit that blogging is something I have just started doing and this close community of friends makes me feel very welcome and that is one big reason I feel I should continue to blog.

@Stranger - I don't really have an idea about this as you asked for Trivandrum, will check around and let you know. Hang on.

Drivers from far flung places in UP and Bihar, generally overshoot their vaccation! Tell me why the courts should have vaccation which no other profession has..!? I had a good start this year with family on holiday to Mangalore and many places in Karnataka...
I am sure that advocates would do brisk business this year for obvious reasons.. Wish you all the best and Happy 2011!

@Petty - thanks for the thought

@Subu - Drivers from far flung places in UP and Bihar can do so, provided they are able to at least call at some point of time and not be completely inaccessible and then turn up two months later - that was the issue. Glad to know that you had a good traveling period with your loved ones. Its a great way to explore, discover and unwind.

Btw, Courts in India have vacations but lawyers do not stop functioning. Lawyers like me continue to work every day, even Sundays, and even the courts have special holiday sittings so that those who are suffering do not have to further be delayed or suffer during these vacations.

There are lawyers who go on perpetual vacations perhaps because they can afford to if legal profession is a hobby. For someone like me, it is bread and butter. I work all through the year and even during holiday trips.
That's how one survives in this profession.
